Poet Nation

Poet Nation was a Somali art and culture hub that engaged youth from around the world through poetry, music and great stories.

The goal of Poet Nation was to be a platform that promoted peace, pro-social behavior and traditional Somali values for the young generation in the Diaspora and Africa.

Poet Nation was an early adopter to social media in the late 2000's and became known among social-media using Somali youth worldwide.

We collaborated on anything that worked to inspire youth as well as raise money and awareness for Somalia which was in a famine at this time.
